How to Check for Software Updates

We just released our latest version 2012.13.11.  This is a maintenance release that addresses issues reported for earlier releases: You must have internet access to recieve the lastest release.

Enables: eFiling for 2012. The specifications have been based on the latest 1220 publication from the IRS.

Updated: W2 Copy B instructions - Notice to Employee (when printing on plain paper). Some amounts were updated, this is not a manitory change from the IRS.

Updated: Form 5498 Sample import file.

Updated: Code to display internet timeout errors while eFiling.

Note: You must purchase the software every year. After you install your 2012 software, periodically check for updates during the active tax season.

It's important to get into the habit of regualrly checking for updates. If you are experiencing problems with the software it is always a good idea to install the latest updates first. Chances are the updates will correct the errors you're experiencing.

Check for Updates Regularly

  1. Open the tax software
  2. Select the Check for updates option from the Help file menu
  3. Make sure you have an active internet connection then click the Check for Updates button
  4. If updates are found they will automatically install
